Posting my picture

I click on I upload. I find my picture(for my profile) and it says my picture is too large. How do I upload my existing photo to my profile?

You'll need to reduce the size of the picture with an image editing program of your choice. I'm a confirmed Photoshop user but there are many, many alternatives including a large number of free ones.  Offhand I can't remember the maximum size of image you can upload, but somebody will shout up. It must be available somewhere on here because I did the necessary with mine!

Among others, Saltarelle Pastourelle II D/G; Hohner 4-stop 1-rows in C & G; assorted Hohners; 3-voice German (?) G/C of uncertain parentage; lovely little Hlavacek 1-row Heligonka; B♭/E♭ Koch. Newly acquired G/C Hohner Viktoria. Also Fender Jazz bass, Telecaster, Stratocaster, Epiphone Sheraton, Charvel-Jackson 00-style acoustic guitar and other stuff..........

Thought it was 80? Also that SMF does a bit of shrinking for you, but baulks on big files?

Sites like http://www.shrinkpictures.com are good. I have decent image software at home but they are great for shrinking iPad giga-pics to melnettable size when Travelling.

Thanks Chris for spotting my mistake.  It is 90 pixels square for the avatar, must be the exact size or smaller.
