Nick's Albrecht
« on: February 16, 2014, 06:52:54 PM »

Rather than extend this thread even further, thought I'd start afresh.

Just come back from chez Nick C-B, had a go on the Albrecht box. I think it needs a modification, something to give you an electric shock after half an hour or so, so you actually have to put it down.

It sounds as good as it looks and it plays as nicely as it sounds. I'm not into one-rows but something like this could change my mind.

Lovely little box.

Ha! But what the great Malcolm Bebb didn't say is that he planted a wonderful collection of concertinas on our table and Karen (wife)  is possibly hooked. A lovely afternoon..
Hmm, NOW where did I put that Albrecht?    MALCOLM!!  ;D ;D

You'll have to have a go on a two row Albrecht, Malcolm.  ;)

That's the trouble with NCB, he's just *too observant*.
Either that or his Albrecht would have gone missing after having a go with it when he was making the Pariselle.
Well, it wouldn't have gone missing, just found a new home in Devon  (:)
( should have been quicker on the getaway....  ::) )

I think I'm starting to get most of the notes in roughly the right order...... sometimes!
