Poll: Tune of the Month for May 2014
« on: April 26, 2014, 01:24:25 AM »

Is it time for another poll? As usual, four choices starting with last month's runner up...

Midnight on the Water - Courtesy of the unsinkable Lester, here's this lovely American waltz - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4syzDkUzhBE - not traditional as often thought, this was written by Luke Thomasson

Thaxted Square - written by Simon Ritchie, but here played by that other infinite source of youtube melodeon videos, Ed Rennie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SpHoRg_avk

The King Enjoys His Own Again - our own Pikey's playing this wonderful tune from the (english) civil war period: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP5rI0DcV9I

Soldier's Joy - I'm starting to lose track of what we've already done, but I'm pretty sure we haven't tried this yet - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6wfiRJkABY ; here played by Lester again (thanks Lester!)

Happy voting folks; let's do it again!

Cheers,

Clive

Has the poll closed a day early this month... or have I just not had enough coffee yet this morning?  I just logged in to exercise my democratic whatsits and the poll has closed already.

I'll close it manually at roughly midnight; can't get SMF to set the poll to close at a particular time for some reason - I used to be able to, but I don't think it works if it's less than a day away.

Brian, it works on the top octave of a one row.

Still squeezing after all these years.

Thanks Pikey, I've just tried it up there and you're right. All I've got to do now is to build a bit of the old Pikey swagger into it..... :||: ;)
