Anyone know the name of these tunes
« on: March 12, 2009, 03:32:23 PM »

I found these tunes while looking at rapper dancing on youtube, and have learnt one of them. Problem is I don't don't know what they are called. Does anyone know?

What a smashing rapper side! If you count rapper as morris dancing, then it certainly isn't dying.
The last tune on the second clip is JK's Jump at the Sun, but don't recognise the others. Good tunes though.
Linking to the 1 strap v 2 strap debate in another thread....the melodeon player at the end of the second clip is doing a good job, but he doesn't look very comfortable!

Second tune in the first clip is a 2-part version (instead of the usual 4 parts) of the Scots piping tune Jig of Slurs. The first tune in the same clip sounds distinctly "makey-uppy" i.e. a recent composition rather than a trad tune. Could be wrong of course.
