What is it with black and red? Seems like you can have an accordion in any color you like as long as its black or red. Or showing a natural finish and resembling a chest of drawers. Occasionally, "funeral home white" or "grandma's dressing table white" is an option. A pitiful state of affairs!

Yes, well, the Latino set is going to have very bright colors. Not exactly my cup of tea, although that Frans van der Aa reminds me of an article I read today that covered the emerging 'Neo-Andean' architecture, put up by the newly minted bourgeoisie in Bolivia. Maybe it's the stress of the winter, but I think all that bright color is wonderful.

Hohner Custom Shop (US) is allowing more possibilities now, but most that I've seen are pretty wild. When I get the time and money, I'd like to see if they can do up my Erica in BRG celluloid or same color flake paint, with the vintage stencils reapplied.

Weltmeister does a good job offering a lot of colors. I know some people really despise colored celluloid, think looks garish, or even degrades the public image of the accordion. And I love wood, but I like a nice color of pearl celluloid, too. Here's a sampling from a supplier I found on Google Images:

Well, a guy can dream...
