I think this might just work with bandoneon tuning, or with more voices where there are reed banks an octave apart.
Then you would have the equivalent of LM (or LMM) for DG, and MH (or MHH) for GC.  And when playing English style you would spend more time in the upper octave than you might on a standard DG.  You also might perhaps want to loose a button or two from the bottom end of the D row.

It would be different from either a standard DG or GC, and would have to be custom made so might cost more than two separate 2 rows.  But to quote Terry Pratchet "it's a million to one chance, but it might just work"
