Does anyone know any melodeon-friendly  session  pubs in
Stirling nr the Tolbooth  as I'm likely to arrive in Stirling far too early for the concert ?

Hopefully 3/2 Hornpipes are on the concert programme

We'll do our best to get the 3/2s in there for you!

Cheers

They gave them a practise workout at the Purcell Room tonight, so they should be perfect for you... :D (that is, if I'm correct in thinking that the Old Lancashire is a 3/2? I've had a couple of pints, so I might be off the mark  ::))

The Old Lancashire is definitely a 3/2 ( if its the same one  I know) - probably one of the better know ones since the Albion Band with John Kirkpatrick  played it in the early 70's.

By the way - what a lot of late night people post on this forum.

Well - when I'm on tour I finish work about 11.30pm and don't get back to the place I'm staying until after 12 every night.  I don't think many people here who get home at 6pm would be tucked up in bed by 7, do you?  I definitely need time to wind down in the evening and some of it is spent browsing these forums.

Very true. I could never get to bed straight after a gig or a session anyway, I'd be too fired up. And that's assuming that my sleeping patterns were remotely regular to start with.

Excellent gig in Sheffield last night, Squeezy.

3:2 hornpipes played again so sounds like you'll be in luck, PB

Fantastic concert in Stirling - hope it was worth the trip North
( Will Ye No Come Back Again ...) .
Had to recover after my long drive home by having a quick view of my newly acquired ' traditional melodeon  mastering the art  DVD ' by Mr Spiers
