« on: March 31, 2009, 12:44:54 AM »

Anyone know where I might find a set of new or used reed blocks for a B/C Hohner Double Ray? Thanks.

You may be able to get new ones from your local Hohner agent, depending on which country you are in.

The only reliable source for secondhand reedblocks is inside an old double ray ;D

Why do you need to replace the reedblocks.  Most of the usual things that go wrong can be repaired.

I want to get a useful set of base reeds. Like Soprani or similar. I don't know if the new Chinese Hohner Double Ray has a sensible base side or not. The German one I've got has useless bases.

I believe that the Double Ray dow now come with a sensible bass layout, so its worth asking the Hohner importer in your country.  You could also enqure of the Hohner parts and service people in Germany

I have a set of these surplus to requirements...

I think they're in reasonable nick...if you're interested I could post them to you.  If they're what you want you could pay me what you think they're worth (and some to Theo (:) )

Where are you? I'm in Cheshire, about 5 miles Jn19 M6. Or check out www.allblackedup.co.uk for where the band is playing  :||:You could then look for yourself

Cheers
