Paolo Soprani air button
« on: August 30, 2014, 10:10:06 AM »

I have an old Paolo where the air button protrudes about 10mm, which is at least twice as much as on my other Paolo, and I would like to lower it, but usually leave the internal workings to professionals, and there's no-one I know of within easy reach of Hereford (UK). I'm fairly practical, so I'd appreciate any advice before I start to look inside it.,

If it is the typical round air button, then the simplest method is to remove the button from the thick wire rod it is mounted on, snip the appropriate length off the rod and replace the button, possibly with a spot of Araldite if it seems loose.

Theo, thanks, that sounds pretty straightforward.
