MAD, BAD but nice to know

MAD, BAD but nice to know

Herself has declared (albeit charmingly) that collecting musical instruments must cease. She says, “You, a Buddhist just keep wanting things?” Yes, bad karma, I know and I must stop (really)

Not only do I have MAD (5 melodeons/concertinas) but also have
BAD (9 banjos) and I also have
FAD (8 fiddles) and by,
GAD, (5 guitars) but, in my defence, I only have a
TAD (1 trombone) of an acquisition syndrome in that sphere. However, I’m a
CAD (3 cornets) but a trifle
SAD with (1 saxophone) but proud to be a
DAD (2 dulcimers) and Grandad and Great Grandad

Anyone got acronym suggestions for the remainder?

9 ukuleles, loads of whistles, bird calls, washboards, harmonicas, etc.

Some of the above for sale, please enquire.

(with apologies to Lester B.)

The generic term I believe is GAS, which stands for "Gear Acquisition Syndrome".

... but before announcing that, take care to get the context very clear.

“You, a Buddhist just keep wanting things?”

Lol. You have a slight problem with the BAD. The rest, I can understand...

(...as long as the FAD includes a Stroh.)

As they say, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a noodle, than for a BAD musician to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Hmmm

Sounds to me that you are merely parallel processing 'enlightenments' meditating with these generators of divine vibrations ( :P) which would otherwise require over 30 serial incarnations, is that not wisdom, Kit ?

I am slightly concerned that you have put concertinas under the MAD heading, they should have their own category as they differ from melodeons in many ways.  >:(

I'd like a Stroh but the rest of the world just would not like to hear my fiddle playing amplified, methinks..

Yes, I know and thanks, though, for pointing it out. Merely administrative.

I was going to play this afternoon at the local Bistrot (I live in SW France) but a mosquito has bitten me on the back of the left hand so I can't do the 'pull' effectively. My guitar playing friend says mosquitos have good musical taste. Guitar players (bless'em) are such prima donnas, sometimes.
