Ah! That side was particularly active between 1956 and 1970 - it finally stopped dancing in 1971. Sadly missing out on the 70's revival due to lack of interest. :D

Mine is from the previous team active 1948 - 1952. Same lot, but this was when they were younger, hence their name "Minors".

Anyway, back to the garage.

It's amazing how things get twisted through time. I was sure that the term 'minors' actually referred to the 12th Century grey-cowled dancing brotherhood the 'minorii' - founded by a chap called Francis who wanted to get poor people Morris dancing to take their minds off their miserable poverty. Interestingly, when they came to England they established a base in....Oxford (!)

I'm another melodeon player/beekeeper, just learnt the dance of the honeybees waltz and reel (both by Charlie Lennon I think). When there is time I play tennis to keep the legs working,

My other instruments are the tin whistle and I used to play the tenor sax, have been thinking lately I should take it up again, hmmmm...

That's only a three stop scooter (MLM) I would personally go for a four stop (LMMH)   ;D

I'm a Yorkie!
My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

In the 70's I rode scooters, Lambretta then moved on to bikes. Having experience of both I say get a bike, I spent more time eating gravel from scooters than bikes just the way it is sat up always seems I had more control over the bike than the scooter.
