Austerity - pffft!.
« on: October 01, 2014, 01:38:55 PM »

Well, after 30 years of trading I have just clocked up my highest number of melodeons sold in a single month.

MAD is rife!

Tories must be going in for them.  Probably hoping the box will be more interesting to listen to than their leaders.

I guess the Landlord is entitled to voice political opinions. Are others?

If we can manage that number of pages on just the difference some wood can make(or not), just think how many we will manage once we dive into this new realm...  ???

To get back to the wood theme, in another thread. Would Tories want them in a Redwood box?

Our MP for Montgomeryshire is a Tory. We are well acquainted. I send him lots of letters and even write about his endeavours in the local press.  ;)

With assumptions and generalisations abounding regarding who plays what in another thread, relating to personality type, it would be interesting to know the proportion of non tory affiliated members/players on here.
Congrats on the sales Rees, could this be construed as a spread of socialism amongst those members of society with disposable income or are we just seeing like following like? All the Best mory

In most folky environments I'd have thought a substantial lefty majority was a given.

If it was Tory buyers they would ask Rees to make them sound common and lower class.  >:E

This thread has confused me. Why is Rees putting Tories in a box?
Was it to test whether sound quality is affected by different woods, or to reproduce the Schrodinger's Cat experiment?
But that doesn't explain why he sold so many!  :-\

You'd be surprised. "Socialist" folkies do make quite a lot of noise about it, and may explicitly ir implicitly  assert "folk" as a "working class thing" on stage or elsewhere. But having had more than a few beers with many people at festivals I'd say the balance of political opinion is little different from that of the whole population. They've just .. shall we say learned to keep it to themselves.  :|glug

[Rees] congratulations  (:)
