Everyone has to work out the fingering that suits them... but having said that, if I found myself doing that 111 sequence I'd go back to the drawing board! Sometimes you will do moves like that on the fly, but why not look for something more elegant?
Also I would find the transition from 3 on the e reaching down to A with 2 awkward and hence error-prone.
Not sure yet how I'd do it, I'd probably aim to get down to the D on 1 and play that DFAd group 1212, leaving 3 free for the f# without having to reach twice with it (though there's nothing wrong with doing that when you have to in my mind).
[Edit: I think I would reach for the first A with 1, the first F# with 2, and then as above.]
I think it would sound more fluent if you played the note pairs "swung" rather than dotted, which is how I prefer my hornpipes - again, nothing wrong with playing them in a more dotted fashion, if that's how you hear the tune.
