Thanks Steve! I've had it a few months now and I'm by no means doing it justice yet, but hopefully I'll grow into it! It's a really lovely box to play.

On the assumption that "the federals" in the name of "Waiting for the Federals" are the Union side of the US civil war (and not a bird species) I figured it was worth re-recording this tune I learnt from squeezy's melodeon DVD:

No - just a permanently smug look on our faces.  ;)

Or a Mason's Apron.

See you at The Square and Compass, East Rigton ;) (Is it still there?)

This theme seems to have brought out the singers amongst us. So here's mine - Kipling's Barrack Room Ballad Gunga Din as set to music by the late lamented Peter Bellamy. I'm afraid I tripped over the words a couple of times, but I don't think my voice would have held out for another take.

Well done folks; onto the next theme! As ever, just stick late submissions on the end here...

Wasn't sure whether to post this, it wanders a bit from the traditional, only because most versions sound rather jolly when it actually is a lament. Anyway, here 'tis played on the green Pistelli A/D:
