Accordion Players Together
« on: October 30, 2014, 07:33:35 AM »

 8) Thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to these players, and a thought occured to me about the collective noun that could be attributed to a mass of melodeoner's. Nah, not a group, my missus, unfairly suggests " a murder of accordionists" Why would she do that? 🐑🐑🐑🐑

She's obviously heard a mob of PA's at bay. The correct collective noun is of course "a blessing"  :||:

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

As Melodeons are BISONoric instruments may I suggest a "STAMPEAD" of Melodeons !

My wife has her own collective noun for a collection of melodeons. She calls more than one such instrument a surfeit of melodeons.  :'(

For some reason she complains occasionally that I don't take her opinions seriously. I can't imagine why.  ::)

I like "stampede" but I think I would prefer "pride."

Which leads on to a melody of melodeons, a concert of concertinas, a ban on banjos and you're on your own for bodhrans.

Surely, a group of melodeons, no matter how large, should be called an insufficiency!   >:E

I never was any good at spelling, and had to take English O level twice before I passed. The English Master couldn't fault my praysee, parzing or S.A. content, but concluded it was my spelling that let me down. Should have used the Spell Cheque.
O.K. Stampede it is.
