The Grenoble improvisation course I keep advocating teaches you how. There are rules that make some things work beautifully 8)  some disasterous  :-\  They also do nice things like timing, harmony, phrasing and sensitivity, of course

Playing "out" has a bit of Russian roullette to it!  But you don't need a fully chromatic box :|glug

That's not a bad impression of Jon Lord and the CBA isn't far off a Hammond. Also reminded me of a quote from Mike Leigh's Naked...when Davd Thewlis asks the twitching, nervous Ewan Bremner... 'What's it like being you? Is it a bit hectic?'  Also love the way he can't stay seated. Brilliant.

Still squeezing after all these years.
Mostly on hohners , with a couple of Dinos and a smattering of anglos - and now a Jeffries duet

I liked it, but I still like rock.
His energy alone brought a grin to my face.

One thought came to mind considering the performance and the "art" :

Might I suggest:  On both fronts, don't quit your day job.

This was mildly tolerable; the best part was his enthusiasm for his own effort.

I feel the best part about it, is how much fun he appears to be having.  He's loving life at that moment!

Although he is playing a CBA, Smoke on the Water is quite playable on a melodeon. I sometimes use the main riff as an introduction to the an dro, Thème Vannetais as a kind of musical joke. If played in Bm Dorian, the only note not readily available on a D/G two-row with low notes is an F natural and even that can be avoided.

Bob,  any chance of a transcription of the notes you play (or abc) please
