Worse still Pikey! The Club X only cost RM 227, but that's a top-of-the-range Club 255, with 3 treble registers (the giveaway!) and 5 sets of reeds, which cost a whopping RM 405 in 1937!  :o

For the sake of comparison, a pokerwork cost a measly RM 34.50 at the same time...  ::)

yeah, I was watching it some 3 days before. It's beautiful. But I didnt understood these 3 register clutches. I would mean 6 types of sounds?
Cause in my CLUB III BS I have 2 clutches with 2 position each one, so the total = 4 positions, 4 diferente sounds. So, with these 3 clutches?
We would have 6 different sounds so?

This one looks like it might be a very slightly later 235 or 255 too: Altes Akkordeon Hohner ca.1935

Just to add some videos about it, cause I've been searching a lot. It's in not the same same model. Here in the video a model with a third row with 7 buttons and not 8 buttons like in these photos of the red model, but I believe that is the closest model I could find, to demonstrate it playing, sounding and how would be the tone.

This might be of interest to those watching this thread. Some of the levers interact with others, giving 6 combinations (I think), and there is a small lever on the bass end to remove thirds.

Don't think I have ever seen a thirds removal lever on a melodeon of this age, though low octave removal stops were not uncommon. I always thought removing the thirds was a fairly recent affectation phenomenon....

Does it really remove the thirds? The bass-end levers I know do remove only the lower octaves.

Well, about this extra button in the bass, maybe an option about a register for the bass buttons. Like the normas, overtures and morinos that have several registers in the treble buttons and also, always 2 or 3 options of registers for the bass buttons also.

About these new photos, very good. I am really curious with these models...
That photo above the red model with 3 clutches, it generates 8 different sounds probably... (according our best calculators from here)
But this last in cream color with 4 clutches, well I believe it can go until 12 different sounds. I really would like to see it in a video, would the owner showing, demonstrating each one of the different sounds.

These models specifically it seems to be extremely powerful machines, considering the are from the years 30's. Amazing.
I would like have one!  ::)

That big beauty isn't cream, it's gold glitter.

Yeah, yeah. Glitter... nice this effect in the painting. Like with some bronze powders over. Like my preciosa in the photo here, and also I put another tone of glitter color from Hohner that I like a lot, this darker but also that shines a lot.

Comments now have me wondering as to the function of the slide lever on the bass side.
I will try to make some sound clips of all the lever combinations, and post them.

Now there's a rare bird! The Orchestra models aren't listed in any of the catalogues I've got, though the Hohner book says they were being produced in 1936-39. It seems they were designed very much for club orchestra use and your Orchestra I is a baritone instrument, whilst the Orchestra II is a 21-key bass.

Hi, here are three pictures from Hohner Catalogues 1937, Elysium I and II,  Orchestra I and Club 235.
I have a Hohner Club 235. If it is useful I can post some pictures,  if it is overhault.

Hi, here are three pictures from Hohner Catalogues 1937, Elysium I and II,  Orchestra I and Club 235.

Hi Andreas, are you sure about the date of your catalogue? I ask because it is quite different to the one dated 1937 (and with a revised, cheaper, 1st January 1938 pricelist pasted into the front of it) that I have, and the models illustrated look to be slightly later. Indeed though Ewig jung trotz vieler Falten lists the Elysium I as 1936-39, it states the Elysium II was only made in 1939...
