What's this tune from Steeleye Span?
« on: March 04, 2015, 04:21:33 PM »

Could anyone help me identify this tune?  I came across a remastered version of "False Knight on the Road" by Steeleye Span here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtbbXUSAdt4
The tune in question starts about 2mins in.
I'd love to know what it is and if there is an ABC version.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Sounds like 'Monk's March' to me. Here it is courtesy of Lester complete with ABC:

I would say Monck's March as well.  Lovely tune to play on t'box.

It appears to be one of YouTubes new Music Key videos which I would guess, although I can't find it written down anywhere, is regional to fit with the financial model.

I'd not heard of this - thanks for the pointer. Another way to make sharing music more difficult and more expensive............I'm afraid I'll be giving it a miss.
