strap installation for Hohner HA-113
mselic:
I currently have a Hohner HA-113, single row, 3 stop melodeon. I'd like to install a strap for my shoulder to facilitate easier playing, rather than always having to steady it with the same hand that I play treble with. I have done some browsing on this topic here, but I have still come away with no clue what I should do, what kind of hardware I should buy or where, etc. I think a single strap would be enough...anyone have suggestions where I can buy the hardware and how I should go about this? Many thanks...
Lester:
My bracket of choice for one rows are these from Charlie Marshall, also available from B&Q (picture hangers) last time I looked.
rees:
I have more attractive ones as fitted to my own brand melodeons. One inch D ring with single fixing holes. £7 per pair inc. postage.
Supplied with fixing screws.

thanks, guys...one other question, and it may seem silly but...where to install them? I guess one hook on the top of the treble side next to the stops, and another in the same spot on the bottom? I've never actually played an accordion with straps so haven't seen where people install the hooks for them. Thanks again.
Graham Spencer:
I use something similar to Lester's example from a local hardware shop. I fit one on the top of the treble side as near to the back as I can comfortably get it and the other on the back, as near to the bottom as I can comfortably get it. Others may use different positions, but that arrangement suits me.
