The Hands On Music website states that the music for Melodeons at Witney is now available to download using the username and password supplied by Dave Townsend. Has anybody here received the aforementioned username and password yet? I certainly haven't!  :(
Do post on here when you get yours so I know to check. Will do same if nothing on here.
Cheers

I am aware that the site states that the music is available, and has been for a number of days.  However, has anyone yet received their username and password.  I would have expected to have received these details by now.

The issue of "when will we receive the music in advance?" comes up every year. It will happen, fear not - you will get your user name and password sent to you. Normally it is about the last week in October when it is available so be patient for a short while longer.

Dave Townsend has the website link set up and ready to go live, but he will be waiting for all the music and recordings from all the tutors to come in before finally making it available on-line.

Admins: perhaps this thread could be merged with the existing one, please?
Post-merge edit: Thanks, Theo!

I made the mistake (?) of waiting until the tutors had been announced - and didn't get on my first choice.
As it was, I had a gig so missed concertinas@witney - due to time-contraints, I wouldn't want to pay up-front until I knew who was on the list.
Being an old-timer at Witney, there doesn't seem to have been a problem in the past with announcing the guestlist beforehand.
Anyone else feel the same?

I had a slioghtly different experience...

The tutor list was announced this year (early Aug?) at least a month before the individual workshops were announced, and I believe booking opened then.

I booked soon after seeing the list. Once announced, places on workshops were allocated in the order that bookings had been received.

I got my first choices.

So I think it is just a case of perhaps more people being prepared to book before knowing what the actual workshops will be. And popular tutors like Andy Cutting,  John Spiers,  John Kirkpartick have always booked up quickly.

Something about early birds and worms?

Me too :) AFAIR booking opened the day I left the Burwell Bash, July 31st. In between driving home from Burwell and setting off for Sidmouth I booked a place at Witney, at that time the tutor list was published but not the workshop content. Although a little unusual this really didn't bother me as I knew there was bound to be plenty on the programme to appeal to me.

I also got my first choices... and I've just got the password to access the advance music and now I'm even happierr with my choices  :|||:

The user names and passwords to access the on-line MAW music and recordings should now have been sent by e-mail to all participants.
If you have not received your notification in the next day or so, please contact Dave Townsend directly.

Also, there seems to be a problem with one of the recordings and PDFs for course unit A4 (Geert's). The tune Tåmånkyllen Åmmet returns a code '404 Not Found' error, possibly due to the mangling of the Scandinavian characters in the file transfer. If you are booked on this unit and you experience this problem, I suggest you notify Dave Townsend by e-mail*. He will sort it out, I'm sure.

*Edit: Dave Townsend has now been informed of this. **

**Further edit: Now fixed.

Also noticed that there is no pdf music for Andy Cutting's mystery 'thinking outside the box' session (Unit C1), I don't know whether this is deliberate or an oversight, if it's deliberate it'd be handy if it says so on the page as per the C2 unit, which has neither as it's about learning by ear.
