Flipped bass reed problem
« on: April 14, 2015, 12:13:11 AM »

I flipped the F chord/bass on my Club Morino so it now plays C/F instead of the stock F/C (push/pull), as I play tunes in G on the pull on my ADG - the Irish approach to things, you might say.  Problem with the Club is now the G chord on the C/G is now, for lack of a more suitable description, screwed up; it sounds like something a jazz pianist would essay, some kind of flat 9 aug chord.  Yrrk.  The C/F works fine, but something went awry here.  Any idea of what happened?  Sorry to be so vague, just looking for advice, I can supply a sound sample.  Also wondering if others have experienced trouble like this mucking around with bass setups.  Probably I could cure it by just doing away with the 3rd.  Or the 5th.  Or the tonic... :(

This also seems to have effected the weird chords on the Club, the diminished jobs on the bottom, but I haven't gotten around to messing with those much so no biggie.

Club basses share reeds between chords.  I haven't found a solution to this.

That's what I thought, I'll try killing the 3rds and see if that helps.

Won't help.

F/c reeds are

F/C
A/E
C/G

So the CG (fifth) is the only reed pair that can be shared with the CG chord.
