Just had a quick search and can't easily find Sylvain Butté's tunes - do you have a link to pdfs or any other way of accessing his tunes in sheet music format?

If you google: "Sylvain Butté, partition", you will find that quite a few come up on different sites.

Done some fishing and found some, but if you have pdfs of songs you particularly like Diatosoldo, I'd be grateful for an email attachment.
In my next life I'm coming back French.

Who knows ..
I have always liked your country, when I was a schoolgirl or student, I used to spend most of my holliday time in England, at this time it represented for me a sort of unknown country, a bit exotic and full of differences from what  I knew. I liked it (But no melodeon yet at this time !).

yes England seemed exotic to me at this time  ;D but maybe it is not the same meaning in English and in French ?

Any foreign country is by definition exotic.
"originating in or characteristic of a distant foreign country."
OK, England isn't exactly distant, if you're in France...

oh it was a real travel at this time and you really had the impression you were going  very far away  : first you had to go by boat, and once aboard you had to fill in many sheets (embarkment card, landing card, and maybe others cards I don't remember concerning goods you carried or did not carry in your suitcase) and when arrived you should walk on the right queue (above all : not mingle with Brittish and commonwealth ;))  and follow the "alien" queue (which seemed a bit discriminant -aliéné means insane in french- or at least less prestigious than brittish or commonwealth ... When arrived, you were interviewed by an immigration officer, who asked you how much money you had, how long you planned to stay ...
A real adventure it was  (:)
