Poll: Tune of the Month for May 2015
« on: April 27, 2015, 12:09:16 AM »

Here we go again folks; four more tunes to choose from!

Blewbell Hornpipe -back again, a traditional English 3/2 hornpipe, and here played by new superband Leveret (it's playable on a one row apparently) - http://youtu.be/Itgt_AacsCA?t=4m21s ; and here's a nice new close up courtesy of Anahata, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAPD1xbyLMM (with lots of sharps/flats in it and certainly won't play on a one-row), or this one from Roger Thomas (which will): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gF0o4_iu7KM

Lunan Bay - we may well try a Jimmy Shand theme soon like we did Bob Cann, but in the meantime here's a rather nice waltz - the first tune he ever wrote apparently. Played here on CBA, because I couldn't find a melodeon version, but it sounds like it will fit just fine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZxZnuY5OV8

Vedder Michel - yes, nice suggestion - from northern Germany comes this ridiculously catchy little number - https://youtu.be/abCbTASVcCo (first tune in set), and thanks to nominator Sebastian, here's a link to some ABC too: http://www.folktunefinder.com/tune/194615/

Harlequin Air - Gavin has some lovely tunes on his youtube channel, lots of them, and all very clearly played through for people to learn off. So, from there is a delightful little traditional tune https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd9MYjQUAMM , Harlequin Air.

Off you go folks, happy voting!

Cheers,

Clive
