Hop and Skip by Jody Kruskal
« on: May 05, 2015, 04:15:59 PM »

This is a great tune that I would like to transpose to G.
Is there a way to use ABC editors to turn pdf into abc?
I have used them abc > pdf but not clear if they work the other direction?

I know of no application that will do PDF -> ABC.

It's easy enough to do manually. I would do it for you but as the tune appears to still be in copyright so it would not be right to do so.

Well said that man!

It's on there as an abc in G and I had Jody's permission to transcribe it. Like many tunesmiths he's happy for his music to be played by amateurs royalty free as long as he is acknowledged as composer and he reserves the right to change this position at any time. Great tune!

Very helpful Pete.
This tune has become a major ear worm for whatever reason and it's time to learn...

I'm a Jodie Kruskel fan and I tried hard to get another of his tunes, Pixie Wings, voted Tune of the Month but it wasn't to be. Here it is again in all of its' glory. another great tune.

This tune makes an awful lot of sense when you play it on a G/D anglo concertina, but I hadn't thought to try it on the melodeon; it'll be interesting to see how it works :D
