St Lawrence visit next month
« on: June 22, 2015, 04:33:09 PM »

Dolly and I have booked into the Memoires et Racines festival (20km out of Montreal) 24 July, and I expect to also get to Anahata recommended Mill Race (Cambridge, Ontario) on following weekend 31st.    We should be somewhere along the St Lawrence Seaway 21 July to 6 August.

Interested in any tips, sessions, (or just opportunity for a drink?) with E Canada, or Upper NY State melnetters.  Gosh! What a big place!!

TIA Chris

A brilliant tune about the St Lawrence Seaway - Paul Cranford's "The Graveyard of the Gulf", here played by David Greenberg with Puirt a Baroque:

Cranford's page about it:

I can't figure out how to quit but I will no longer check this group and have deleted all shortcuts to it.

Nice, thanks Jack. Or should that be Jacque? ;)

Been having a look at Jimmy Nails's "Big River" too.

I guess anything about "Wolf" might be a bad idea,
though they do I think have a Brandy J'ai vu le loup

A great duet and a long term favourite in my 78rpm collection: Mickie Ainsworth and Jimmy Blue - Sunset on the St. Lawrence
