The Weltmeister 509 from the Button Box seems like a good deal, but it apparently is "special order". I wonder what that means?  ???

It seems they also have a used Corona II for $975. Is that a good deal?

Probably not in stock - you'll have to ask.

Or phone Smythe's Accordion Center. Kimric Smythe is a member here.

Hmm, I wonder if I should get a PA, or a CBA. That way, I would be familiar with both Diatonic, and Chromatic accordions. There certainly seem to be lots of used PAs out there.

Would it be better to buy a new, poor quality PA, or a used high quality PA?  ???

HW - Are you sure you can't accomplish what you want with a nice 2 row?

A Hohner merlin places the useful accidentals right on top. A three row is going to be very heavy, coming from your 1 row, it may seem extreme.

The Merlin is a bit expensive for me (I am specifically looking at below $1000), and it seems to come in keys that aren't used in the music I play. It seems Button Box has a Frontalini G/C for $695. Would an accordion in the key of G/C be capable of playing Polish Polkas?

What keys of instruments would be best for Polish Polkas/Waltzes like these?

Buy an electronic keyboard. Than you will have a whole orchestra under your fingertips.

You might also talk to Scott Bellinger.

http://bellingersbuttonboxes.com/

Tell him what you want, and he'll keep an eye out. He's a great guy, and he might have a decent CF for you.

I think these Alpine styles you like might be better on a CF.

Somebody chime in here?

PS- French and Quebec styles is easier, people would suggest a GC. There's a lot you can do with 2 rows, and you might appreciate the portability.

Scott is an expert tuner, you'd appreciate it as the hours go by. ;) That box looks pretty heavy though, but hey maybe he'll supply a sound  sample if it's not there.

I just purchased a mint condition Hohner Club 111M tuned C/F for just over $300 on Ebay. The instrument also has switches for 5 different tones. They are quality boxes at very nice prices these days. Very much worth the money and will do what you want.
Here is one for sale right now:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hohner-Club-III-M-Akkordeon-Harmonika-/391175304761?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item5b13dd7639
