Wipe it on with a rag, leave for 10 minutes and wipe off any excess.
I usually give it two coats and leave it for a day or two to harden off, then fine wire wool before the final coat.

Seriously, will have a look at Liberon.

I'm presuming that you meant "yacht"? :P And a clipper isn't a yacht anyway, it's a Ship or Barque.

Actually having googled it, "yaught" is apparently an archaic spelling of yacht...
