I played Fat Elvis and lived...(almost)...
« on: August 10, 2015, 08:38:45 PM »

Just back from a wonderful weekend at Dartmoor. Cracking latenight Saturday with amongst others Messrs Pearce and Orchard of this parish. Seeing me boxless young Mr Pearce offered to lend me Elvis.  Play him? I could hardly lift him.  How Tommy, Ashley and others not on this forum manage to play such stunning stuff at such a pace is beyond me...Respect, is, I believe the word.... :|glug

Yes it was a fantastic session. I also enjoyed listening to you Baz, I think with the big boxes is just getting used to the size and change how one would hold it. Also you don't need to pump the bellows as much. But yes it was good fun!

It also helps if you can fit into the straps...Tommy's didn't fit me...still trying to work out why... :|glug :|glug :|glug10

Also just back from my first Dartmoor festival. It could not have been better, so relaxed. The sessions were great and I must pass on my thanks to the Orchards for the sessions in the front bar, Tom, Ashley and the family could not have been more welcoming (I was the one with the Tommy). Hope to meet up again sometime.
