For the past few years, I've organised an informal session on the Friday evening at the Kings Head in Mendlesham (the only pub there).
Its a small bar but a welcoming landlord. :|glug  :|glug :||: :|glug :|||: :||:

I was planning to do the same for M&M 2016, and normally ring him a few weeks before to confirm its ok for another year.

Hope that helps :)
Do we have this arranged yet Andy?

Its on my to-do list for this week or next.
I'll keep everyone updated.

Yes, I'm doing the Ollie King one in the afternoon. In the morning I'll be doing the Village Band with Dave Townsend. See you in Ollie's workshop.

I'm doing (5) slow airs in the morning and (10) 3/2 hornpipes in the afternoon.
I'm a bit rusty so need to start practising. Lol

I'm never certain about anything, best to say think instead of "am", in that way you have an excuse if something goes wrong...  ;)

"I'm never certain about anything, best to say think instead of "am""

That made me smile; all my Egyptian friends making an appointment, will say "Definitely!" but thay always, without exception, add on the ubiquitous "Insh'Allah" meaning "if the God wills it". Nevertheless, like Mr Hohner, I usually view it as just another way of shirking responsibility.

Friday Night Session - Kings Head, Mendlesham

Just spoken to Paul Allen, the landlord and he is happy for people to play music and drink beer (other drinks are available) on the Friday evening.
We're in the same room as previous years - the one on the right coming from the front door, complete with pool table!

Suggest gathering about 8:30ish.

All instruments welcome - tell your friends.

Cheers!!

Anyone staying in Stowmarket on the Friday night who might be able to pick up someone from the station at 9.3o before heading up to Mendlesham? If so, please pm me or email the EATMT address. Many thanks. Don't forget if you want an evening meal on the Saturday at the White Horse to email your order before Monday at the very latest. Not long to go now  ;D

Does anyone have the details of times and anything else I need to know for both Saturday and Sunday?

I have my music and ticket for the concert but in a fit of organisation I've put the confirmation docs and schedule somewhere safe and now unknown.

In particular what time does it start on Saturday? - I shall probably be able to work out everything else from there. The sunday times are noted as 10:30 -4 on the website.

thanks
