I am confused that MAD could be described as a problem. It's nothing compared to post melodeon disposal syndrome - sleepless nights angsting about bad decisions, the constant regret...the perceived faults of the instrument forgotten, the realisation that problems were actually minor and easily resolvable by the right fettler...
Personally I still deeply regret throwing out a whole box load of melodeon bits many years ago (probably including my first ever instrument - only slightly 'foxed' by hard playing and that long Sidmouth procession in the pouring rain...!)
Good job I've still got two very playable Pokerworks in D/G, C/F, plus one more or less ok though could do with tweaking, and two D/G 2 and a bit rows in constant use. Not to forget the G/C Pariselle which needs some tuning at some time. Definitely can't justify any more given that public playing restricted to 8 on Thursday evenings at the moment. Never mind the money aspect of course !
