Poll: Tune of the Month for April 2016
« on: March 26, 2016, 12:54:04 PM »

Oops! A bit late getting the poll up; fortunately everyone's done my work for me with some nice suggestions!

- Sansonnette - Last month's runner up. At the risk of pushing my own video, here it is on a Hohner C/F https://youtu.be/OVH5oAJt44Y?t=2m7s  and there are quite a few others out there too, like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT52Y7YqN2Y and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89fh8X8KpSw . I used to think ideally it needed accidentals to get that opening few notes right (one of the reasons it hasn't been nominated yet), but the last example seems to zap along quite nicely without apparently hitting any accidentals, so perhaps you can get away with it quite easily.

- The Hole in the Wall - as played recently on the Boxtet blog by Ollie King, here we have him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEAe0fhb8os

... and here's some ABC

- Road to Poynton; one of Rob Harbron's more famous tunes, here talked through, written down, and played by the man himself - nip off to Rob's most excellent website here http://robertharbron.com/?p=37 where you can find details of this and some of his other tunes too.

- Dschinghis Khan: go on, why not! https://youtu.be/eAEUrp2V4ss - Eurovision glory; not tried this on the melodeon, but it sure sounds like it's playable, and we have ABC to work off:

Yes it plays nicely on the melodeon, even if I never got round to make a recording.  (:)
