Okay. Not proud of this version it lacks rhythmic integrity due to technique issues rather than lack of rhythmic understanding, but publishing it will at least take the pressure off my weekend (I don't have time to work on a stronger take).
The only bright side is that if you stay with it long enough the Serafini turns into a pumpkin known as Erika for a first outing of that box bought on German ebay at the beginning of the year. Reeds are thanks to Theo.

That one was quite tricky, wasn't it? :-)

On to the next tune; as usual, stick any late submissions on the end here!

Inspired by Jack Humphreys' variations, it occurred to me that you can make it even trickier by putting it into a klezmer "bulgar" rhythm:

Code: [Select]
X:2
T:The Hole in the Wall
C:via folk process from Henry Purcell
B:Playford's Dancing Master 1651-1678. Edited by Jeremy Barlow
M:8/8
L:1/8
Q:3/8=120
K:G
B2c (Bcd)  Ad    | G2A (GAB)  FB    |E2F (EFG) DB|G2 F G3-  G2:|
g2f (efg)  fe    |^d2e (def)  Bf    |g2f (efg) fe|e2^d e3-  e2 |
E2F (EFG) (F/G/A)| G2A (GAB) (A/B/c)|B2c (Bcd) Dd|B2 A BG2- G2:|

(Unfortunately I don't know how to say "the hole in the wall" in Yiddish).

Anyone want to try it?

I can't figure out how to quit but I will no longer check this group and have deleted all shortcuts to it.
