The late
Finbarr Dwyer Dermot O'Brien composed a Bavarian-sounding waltz he named Alpine Slopes and I came to it via a really nice video done by our own OrchardAshley90 at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O3T3_pI7zw Dermot's version can be heard at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtGPnw4vOrAI think Ashley played it in A major on an A/D/G box using the A & D rows but I'm trying to play it in G on a D/G melodeon. I couldn't find the dots or abc notation for the tune on the web and when I attempted a transcription the tune seemed to morph into a cliched 'lederhosen style' waltz. Might come in handy for an Oktoberfest gig anyway.
Has anyone seen a transcription of Alpine Slopes, or recognise which tune I've borrowed from? My transcribing efforts are attached.
