Some very tempting offers there at the moment. I have no connection with them btw, and hope this is OK to post, Wish I had some spare cash though!

I visited the shop on Wednesday just for a browse - probably a good thing (for bank balance at least) that the temptingly reduced prices weren't being displayed !

Phew. At first glance reassured that the very tempting Binci Oakwood 3v wasn't included in the reductions (liked it a lot but told myself I've already decided on my 60th birthday gift to myself) but now I see it is ! It would be madness not to avoid temptation...after all how many melodeons does one really need ?
It does make me wonder though - if I'd known about the reduced online price in the shop I might have just fired up the tablet there and then, bought and worried about the bank balance later !

Looks like their accountants have told them they have too much cash tied up in stock and so need to sell some asap.

There was a change in ownership/management last year when John Turner left.  The new team may be having a strategic re-think.

I cannot seem to find any Saltarelles at the Music Room any more.
I wonder why?

I did offer them a part ex for a 3 row D/G but despite several phone calls and an agreement in principle, I've not heard back from them.

A new Sandpiper Snipe selling for £455 is a very good deal and £350 for non-EU buyers who get the 23% VAT refunded.

They appear to have a Saltarelle Horizon DGAcc 14 bass for half price http://www.themusicroom-online.co.uk/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/40/products_id/4616

Wow, ok, some ridiculously good prices. I would suggest just clearing stock but it seems to be on everything.

What to do when the one and only box that you ever said would tempt you in to selling others and buying it is advertised at 30%, saving over £800?

I'm confused. John was running the Music Room stall at Chippenham last weekend.

I'm confused too in that case.   A normally reliable contact in the business led me to believe he had left.  Obviously that is three of us that are confused!

I think they are now a limited company rather than a partnership therefore John will be a director and employee of the company

I rang up about this one and they put me off, saying everything about it was weird and too personalized to really consider (they didn't actually tell me what the mods were). I explained that I knew someone who could sort it out, and they said it wouldn't be worthwhile!

Weird! Do they really want to sell it?  I might phone them on Monday just to see what is going on.

I'm not particularly taken because apart from the DB specials the prices still aren't amazing. Castagnaris for example are probably not to different in price now to a dealer like Acorn or Rees that don't add a lot on top.
