Certainly not a Liliput.  It is an earlier version of the model we now know as the pokerwork with celluloid finish.  Same layout same reed setup, same dimensions.

"He-who-must-not-be-named-Pikey" has recently acquired an identical one which he was playing last night. Was it one you worked on,  Theo?

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Yes, and no.  ;)

It's the same size and shape as a pokerwork, but the Hohner model number would have been 1600/2 (2-voice, as opposed to the larger, 3-voice, 1600/3 that preceded the Corso) making it an earlier version of the model we now know as the Erica. So it's a "pre-Erica" for those who like that kind of terminology...

Hi Steve and Ebor,

... actually in the case of Pikey's box it's more 'No' than 'Yes' ... !

Pikey's box is actually a 12 bass 3-voice LMM conversion of the instrument shown in the Original Post...

You'll have to ask Pikey for photos - my camera has dumped all mine!

H-stamped aluminium reedplates; pullstop for thirds and pullstop for LMM or MM.

cheers
