Bass button replacement - Hohner Club
« on: June 28, 2016, 07:13:00 PM »

A friend has acquired a wooden Erika - type Club 2 in C/F with recessed/indented bass keyboard.  She would like to replace the bass buttons, which are straight, with Hohner mushroom type buttons as she prefers the feel.  I can vaguely remember reading something in the past being written here, but can't locate the thread.  Any help I can pass on would be good.  Thanks all.

I use a soldering iron with a blob of solder on it, applied just below the button on the metal rod. Wait about 20 seconds  and tug on the button, when the rod gets hot enough the button will come right off. Do not touch the button with the iron, and keep a wet wash cloth handy in case of fire.
The hole size is different too so you will have to plug and drill them to the new size.
