Shipping to the US
« on: July 07, 2016, 10:30:16 AM »

I was looking at the online quotes for shipping a Melodeon to the US from Germany, does ca 200€ sound about right or have i missed something? Seems a lot to me, but I have nothing to compare to.

cheers

I recently purchased an accordion from the Ukraine that shipped for $45USD. Weight was 3,6 kg.

200EUR sounds high.

I have had three boxes shipped from Germany in the past two years. Shipping cost me between 35 (preciosa) and 45 (regular sized boxes) euros. 200 seems VERY high.

I suspect the online price might be auto-generated. Check with the vendor, maybe.

Did you check with DHL? It is much cheaper than 200 €.

HI. I am in Canada.. Thats close to USA for those that don't know..

I bought to accordions Ha-114 and a vintage war diatonic.
One from Germany other from France.

Most I paid shipping was $56  US funds which in Canadian is more.. around $70 bux + or -..

I think the shipping cost your being charged is overcharge at the very least.. Theivery at the Utmost.

Just my .5 cents

Not suggesting it's the case here, but ebay's "international shipping and handing" deal is daylight robbery.
Costs about double what any sane person would charge.
Just putting that out there ....
