Poll: Tune of the Month for October 2016
« on: September 26, 2016, 12:14:25 AM »

It's time again! This month's poll:

Soldiers Joy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6wfiRJkABY ;last month's runners up. As session standardy a session standard can possibly be!

Nadiejda - from the late, great, Stephane Delicq. There's a bit of work to do in getting the right feel on this, but we have some *great* videos to work from in this thread http://forum.melodeon.net/index.php/topic,17618.20.html - notably this from Arty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIX-QYB8I2U and this from Massimo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0Q6IEDHvfY

Valse des Jouets - editor's choice here! This waltz by Michel Faubert plays beautifully on a 2 row quint box, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTOuMArlqGM  . Also comes with this slowed down version (in A/D unfortunately, but you get the idea) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9WCDEmiQHI

Redowa Polka - long overdue for a play I think this one, a lovely 3 part polka - here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FYPq0tU0mg

This time I'm not going to make the mistake of listening to early bird recordings - I just find I can't see the point in adding my version - which are normally very straight laced - after I've heard someone's more polished and inventive version. So I'll record it and upload it before listening to others.
