J. F. Kalbe started in 1840 in Berlin, and no doubt started to use "Imperial" as a trade mark following the founding of the German Empire in 1871 - in Britain that mark was first registered by them on 1st October 1886. Kalbe Accordeon were bought up by Hohner in 1912 - thus acquiring both the "Imperial" trade mark, that became the name of a range of Hohner piano accordions in 1934-41, and the twin anchor one, which they have continued to use. Kalbe models (especially popular in Australia) were still produced by Hohner until at least 1929, and possibly a few years later.

The bellows on yours appear to have been replaced, or they'd have a "divider" or two in them, and the model name would have been on the bellows frames, but it's a pretty basic instrument.
