Not to steal your post, Sietze, but can anyone tell me what the little yellow face by the post heading means? It pops up every now and then for no reason  I can fathom......

You can choose it as an icon for the topic when you start a new thread Brian ... it's always been there to choose along with other random icons.

It's the smiley icon. When you start a new topic, you are offered a menu of message icons.

No, this is an altogether different icon to the message icons........look at the little chap on Sietze's post, quite different to the ones we can choose when posting and which I use rather too often..

Its this one.
One of the standard Message Icons.  Its from a drop down just under the message subject when you are composing a new message.   It is not one of the smileys that you can include in a message
