Superb Slovenians

In the last several months I've become a big fan of Slovenian accordion.If you don't like Um Pa rythyms this might not be for you but the technique is superb and everyone is smiling.Here are a few of my favorite clips.

Thanks for sharing those; definitely smile-worthy. Sky diving with an accordion begs the question, "Will there be accordions in heaven?" Ah, yes...lending atmosphere...WHEREVER they are.

Larry,Vojko mentions that one of his accordions is in C,F,Bb, I suspect that F,Bb,Eb, is also popular.

Meg,I'm glad that you liked these,feel free to post any other Slovenian or Steirishe videos that you like on this thread.

For an American floavour check out the Cleveland and western PA polka bands.

Something else that interested me, apart from the great playing, was the bass layout.   Seems to be all fundamental basses and no chords.   What would the layout be for this.

Larry,sometimes I also wondered if there were any bass chords,the main emphasis is on the fundamental basses.
I fixed one of the Vojko links and added a video of him demonstrating how to play the accordion.
