Nice box, pity about the grille. It's not original and not very nice at that.

Home-made, and extremely heavy-looking.  :o

Nice box otherwise though, my favourite Hohner model!

A Pokerwork grille will fit...

  • Been squeezing melodeons for over 48 years (badly)

Shop bought ventilator stuff and quite clever really, but as has been posted already originals are still available.

Has anyone heard of the song. “ Broken Alarm-clock Blues” ? It starts   “I woke up this Afternoon”

Yup, I saw that box, and am watching it, to see what it goes for, as I have one sitting here.

    • The Box Place

I always worry a bit when I see boxes with horribly bad repairs like that.   The black finish seems to have been rather inexpertly overpainted in places too. I'd much rather sellers just put their old boxes up for sale in their original used condition.  As a buyer I then have a much better chance to evaluate it.

I recognised it immediately. It's a Hohner Expamet.

I bid £50 on it, but it is another one where there is supposedly no delivery to UK.

If you click watch on the German site, it will then appear in your normal eBay summary page, in translation. From there you will find it easier to see how to contact the seller, and ask him if he would be willing to ship to you.

"supposedly no delivery to UK."

My friend, Mr Google, translates the German to:

There may be no shipping to United Kingdom - Read the item description or contact the seller for shipping information.

I think this is just eBay's wording, seeing as the seller hasn't specified where he/she would/would not send it to. It doesn't necessarily mean that they won't send it.

The seller is prepared to ship to Europe. Is the UK still in Europe? (only joking!)
Also says prepared to ship to Brazil, so UK should not be a problem.
