My kit is full 3 row  F#GC Gaillard, and C#DG van der Aa, 18 bass (12chords, otherwise 12 basx chromatic both directions) “same system”.

I’d say that the Gaillard is the better made, but that the lightness of the vdA more or less balances. He gives me LMM 3 voice at the same weight as Bertrand’s LM bandonèon 2 voice. I play the vdAa much more, but that is in an English mixed song/music session context.

Little to choose between them overall. The vdAa is the more “attacking” in terms of tone. But that’s mostly due to having the 3rd voice.
