I got their album not too long ago. Great playing. They do a great version of Foxhunter reel. On mobile and cant find it now but I'll post it later

Great stuff. That laddie on the guitar is good, but he needs to dump that round backed plastic fantastic guitar, and get one that does his playing justice.

Love this.

In other videos he does play a different guitar, but I actually like the Ovation he's playing. And he is working really hard, there ... and having a good time.

I suspect from the sound that the strings are fairly light - more suitable for finger picking.  Heavier strings don't twang quite as much when you're giving it some stick!  I used to occasionally "borrow" a friend's Ovation (one of the early models) and it had a great sound, but she also preferred light strings so I had to play with less verve than I did on my old clanker Epiphone with Martin mediums.
