Club box music
« on: December 20, 2016, 06:45:51 PM »

I acquired a Hohner BbEb LMM Club IV recently, with a stack of music. The owner's mother played this instrument in Switzerland in 1941 (somewhere I have a photo....but I have mislaid it). The music looks like it is specifically designed for this instrument, which is kind of nice. If you follow this link you will see an example. Has anyone seen this format before..and if so could they explain it? It looks like a hybrid musical stave and button/number format.

That appears to be the Helbling System.  Somewhere I have an explanation in English. I'll have a look for it in a couple of days.

Ah, thanks. After a search I've located a German Wiki page mentioning it...
