It's Streb-O-Licious
« on: January 15, 2017, 04:03:32 PM »

I told Steve that I was not my usual self and would likely have to post on melnet my new toy box.  Streb #101. Now I know why Clive has that beatific smile.  Did anyone say Steve was a genius?  And the craftsmanship is excellent. Tune to follow as soon as I can get my bearings.

I love mine, I have number 8, the first 2.5 row made. Bought almost exactly two years ago in Squeezy's 'furry rug' sale.

I sold mine and have regretted ever since. Bah. I'm now having to practice on a Roland...

So if you have one lying around unused....

It's touchdown for Streb #103...

I love it. The cat doesn't.

Too bad. The Streb stays. 8)

That looks really nice. I know they sound like the business. Am I allowed to ask how much it cost and how long it took?

Its beautiful - the cat that is, can offer it a home here if it doesn't become streb acclimatised as our gorgeous tom kitten drowned just after Easter and we currently have a serious cat vacuum :'(

Ben, I see you got the adjustable bass strap.  Could you post a close up of Steve's new longer feet?  Mine are not too pretty.  Thanks, Steve C.

This is the man who can tell you. I think mine took about a year.

I put a velcro bass strap on mine (courtesy Charlie) but haven't bothered with the feet, I just park it back in the gig bag.

Malcolm, I have one of Charlie's velcro bass straps, and very nice it is.  But as Steve warned, the box did rock when placed on the original feet.  So I assume a mod is in place on Bens #103.  Mine is ⅝" wooden dowel.
