This was tricky, after all, I usually only learn tunes I hate...
First attempt at recording myself, so don't be to harsh.

Well played! And what do you mean "please excuse the mistakes" ? I didn't spot any mistakes - absolutely nothing that got in the way of the music, maybe some places where you didn't play what you intended but nobody else will know...

Hope it's the first of many  :|glug

Huw -- definitely don't apologize for this! It was really nice and well played indeed.

Huw, it certainly made me have second thoughts about posting any more of my poor efforts! Very well done.

I do love this tune. I find that with many 'must learn' tunes I'm almost bored with them as soon as I've taken the trouble to learn them. Not this one. Done without Martin's subtle introduction, so still got things to work on.

I rather like this Swedish waltz I've just learned from the playing of the Danish String Quartet and Nordic Fiddler's Bloc - here's Valse efter Lasse i Lyby ; it is a simple 2xA; 2xB waltz, despite how it sounds. It just that it has the hook from the start of the A on the end of the B. Took me a while to figure that out. Other than that, we're in Em on a D/G Castagnari Mory.

Hello From Denmark.
I've been rather passive here at Melnet for quite some time, but feels that my appetize for the melodeon are growing again. So here is a little tune I made a few month ago and which I still enjoy much playing. Title in danish is "Vals med Karen" (my late wife). In english you could call it "Waltzing with Karen". I play it on a GC Bertrand Gaillard, the smallest of his models, two voices.

Link works well. I'm glad of the tune writing company. I like the transition to the B section particularly. Nice sounding box too. Well done and welcome back.

Not sure if this is how you do it.
A beginners rendition of Weasel in the Grass, great tune, originally heard from Lester, does not seem to be played much, not sure why...

Late apparently.

Melnet ToTM tunes you love! Many of my favourite tunes are ones that I don't actually play because I find that I can't recreate that essence which makes it special. Anyway ToTM forced me to learn this and record it far too early.

My face says it all unfortunately.

It's a CF box. I'm playing the tune in C.

Thanks Martin, that explains it.
It suddenly dawned on me that I couldn't follow your fingering and thought it could be your CF you're playing.

Great to be reminded of Watermans HP ! ( lots to admire in the playing). Now - anyone got the dots ?- I'm not certain I'm playing it anything like correctly...
