Your house is burning down and you can only save 1 box?

JimmyM:
lets hope none of us are ever faced with this but ....

your house is burning down. everyone has got out safely but you only had time to save 1 box. Which one did you save and why?

maybe you only have 1 box so it was an easy choice. Somehow i think most people on this forum have more than 1 ;)

So I'd better start. I'd grab my 114 in G. i love the sound of the 4stoppers and I always thought G was a bit squeeky untill i heard it in the lower octave that you get on the 1 rows. Almost all the music i play is in D or G so I'd still be able to play a huge chunk of it in the right key and the rest id play in the wrong key :||:

Although our Hero, Theo, says it's "like the Klingenthal boxes", it would have to be my Hering G/C! Not just because it might be my favourite box, as even though it's the one I'm playing just now, I'm not sure that it is. But because it's the only one that I've heard of which isn't in Brazil!

Lester:
Luckily most my boxes are in my workshop which is separate from the house  (:)

NickF:
That would be a tough choice (and I might dither long enough that I wouldn't have time to save myself let alone one box...); however, it would have to be the D/G Liliput - it's such a sweet box.

Mind you, the others are insured (but I'd have to wait for another Streb...)

would depend on how far you had to run with it and what other possessions you were trying to grab!  for a high speed departure I would grab a  dg pokerword  but if speed of departure was not so important it would be a hohner gaelic as it will do everything that may otherwise require several boxes
