I think quite a few people here have eX-boxes they are planning to fettle when they get a round tuit!

My beloved has Christened them all the same, for simplicity. They're all called "That Thing!"

We've got one in the side called Ginny, seeing as it goes well with diet tonic.

My Saltarelle A/D is known as "Bee-Wab" because no one seems to be able to pronounce Bouebe....

And a friend has a (so I'm told) wartime built Hohner known as "Little Jack" because when we bought it off eBay the add described it as a HORNER. Not only that, but could best be described as a plum colour. Unfortunately it doesn't get played much and spends most of its time sitting in the corner....

My white pearloid Gabbanelli Compact with added bling was going to be called Elvis, but someone got there before me! However, the first time I took it to Morris practice, one of the dancers said "Bloody hell! What's that? It's got more bling than Dolly Parton!"...so it's now called Dolly.

A French friend of mine christened my Clément Guais three-row La Bête Brune. My other boxes are known more prosaically by the manufacturer's name.

The only one of mine that has a name as such is a Hohner Model X - I call it "The Comedy Wardrobe"...

Mine all have names but in my defence the first one (Peggy Pokerwork) was a joke, the next two, Erica and Lilly came ready named and now other people keep naming the new ones as they join the herd.  Currently I have:

Peggy Pokerwork (currently on missionary work)
Lilly the Lilly
Eva the D/G Liliput (named by Lester)
Pearl the Preciosa
Ruby the Bb/Eb Liliput (named by someone else)
Cynthia the Streb (ex-husband named that one)
Betty Binci (name suggested by various people, missed a trick there, could've called her Leonardo)
Georgie the Giordy

I've honestly forgotten what the other one is, there must be one 'cos I have been called 'Nine-box Nell' and the list only makes eight.  Anyone remember what my other box is?

I call the Ouverture V "Darth Vader," the 4row Melodija Menges "the Behemoth," and the Gaillard "the expensive one," or "the Unforgiving."  Well, and there's also the one discussed in another thread which is called "the nazi box," the Pokerwork is usually just called by name.  I suppose others are referred to by their colors, but my wife calls all of them "In the Way!"

My D/G I call "Old Nemoe" because I'm not that clever with anagrams. My A/D is "Needs Tuning."
