Harmonikas reeds
« on: March 15, 2017, 09:56:55 AM »

Harmonikas have sent me samples of all their reeds, D/E and F#/G in each case. I'm wondering what is the best way to test them. They vary in size a bit. The DiX plates are shorter. There are obvious things I can do to compare them. Just wondering what novel ideas people have.

You could make or adapt a spare reed block so you can put them in a box and try them out side by side.

The DIX reeds are also more narrow.

I am wondering about the time interval between requesting and receiving the reed samples?
